1 Find BotFather #
- Open Telegram (mobile app or web)
- Search for BotFather (blue checkmark ✅)
- Tap Start to begin
Tip: If search does not show the verified BotFather, try typing @BotFather in the search bar.
2 Create Your Bot #
- Send the command
/newbot - Choose a name (what users see, e.g., MyFirstBot)
- Choose a username (must end with bot, e.g., MyFirstBot123_bot)
- BotFather confirms and gives you an API Token
Note: Usernames must be unique. If the username is taken, add numbers or underscores until it is available.
3 Save Your Token #
Copy the token BotFather provides, paste it into MisterChatter during setup, and keep it safe without sharing it publicly.
If a token is ever exposed, use BotFather to revoke and generate a new token immediately.
